OUKITEL P5000 Pro vs Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus: 3.6kW-Class Home Backup

The OUKITEL P5000 Pro vs Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus choice comes down to one trade: more battery in the box, or less weight with room to grow. Both run 3,600W continuous and 7,200W surge on LiFePO4 cells. The P5000 Pro stores 5,120Wh. The Jackery stores 3,584Wh, weighs about 40 lb less and takes expansion packs.
For a unit parked by the fridge, the P5000 Pro gives about 43% more energy per charge. For a unit that moves often or will grow past 5kWh, the Jackery is easier to live with.
Quick Verdict
P5000 Pro: 5kWh from one unit, stays parked, lower cost per watt hour.
HomePower 3600 Plus: moves often, 30A RV outlet, 240V with two units, grows to about 21kWh.
Tie: 3,600W output, 1,000W solar input, UPS switchover under 10 ms.

What Are the Biggest Differences Between the Two?

Output is a tie, so three other specs decide it. Each one favors a different buyer.
  • Energy: the P5000 Pro holds 1,536Wh more, about 43% extra runtime per charge.
  • Weight: the Jackery is about 40 lb lighter and rolls like carry on luggage.
  • Growth: the Jackery publishes a path to about 21kWh per unit and 43kWh with two units.

Which One Runs Your Appliances Longer?

The P5000 Pro runs every load longer because it holds more energy. We plan on 85% of rated capacity after inverter losses: about 4,352Wh usable from the P5000 Pro and 3,046Wh from the Jackery.

Estimates assume a steady draw. Cold rooms, battery age and stacked loads shorten them.

Refrigerator backup

A fridge compressor cycles, so plan on daily kWh, not label watts. A fridge using 1.5 kWh a day runs about 2.9 days on the P5000 Pro and 2.0 days on the Jackery. Without power, FoodSafety.gov says a fridge keeps food safe for only about 4 hours, and a full freezer about 48 hours.
In our experience, most buyers overestimate fridge draw by planning on the peak figure. Divide the kWh per year on the EnergyGuide label by 365, or use a plug in watt meter for 24 hours.

Multiday outages

The EIA puts average home use near 29 kWh a day, so neither unit runs a whole house. On a 3 kWh daily essentials list, the P5000 Pro lasts about a day and a half, the Jackery about one day. Add one Battery Pack 3600 and the Jackery moves ahead at about 6,090Wh usable.
Watch the heat loads
Space heaters and portable AC units hold near full wattage and drain either battery in a few hours. Run them in short cycles.

Does 3,600W Cover Your Heaviest Loads?

Yes, for most single 120V appliances. The 7,200W surge helps motors start but cannot be held. A 1,500W heater plus a 1,200W microwave leaves only 900W spare. Our home backup generator guide covers load sizing in more detail.
  • P5000 Pro: 120V only, plus 24V/10A and 12V DC outputs for van or cabin gear.
  • HomePower 3600 Plus: TT-30 outlet for RVs; two linked units give 240V for a well pump or dryer.
  • Hardwired circuits: need a transfer switch installed by an electrician.

How Fast Can Each Unit Recharge?

About 7.3 h to full
About 5.1 h to full
Vehicle
12V/8A and 24V/10A
Supported
Both cap solar at 1,000W. The P5000 Pro takes it through an XT60 port rated 12 to 120V; the Jackery splits it across two DC8020 inputs. The Jackery fills sooner only because it holds less. The Department of Energy advises sizing solar to measured energy use, which applies here too.

UPS Backup and Indoor Use

Both list switchover under 10 ms, fast enough to keep a router or desktop running when the grid drops. Neither produces exhaust, so both work indoors. By contrast, the CPSC says portable generators must run outdoors, at least 20 feet from the home.

Battery Life, Warranty and Weight

  • Cycles: OUKITEL counts 5,000 to 80% capacity; Jackery counts 6,000 to 70%. OUKITEL keeps more capacity at its test point.
  • Years: at one full cycle a day, 5,000 cycles is about 13.7 years and 6,000 is about 16.4 years. A backup unit that cycles a few times a month reaches neither.
  • Warranty: Jackery lists 3 + 2 years; OUKITEL lists 1 + 2 years with subscription.
  • Weight: at 116.8 lb the P5000 Pro is a two person lift. The 77.16 lb Jackery rolls on wheels.
At end of life, recycle either battery. The EPA says lithium-ion batteries do not belong in household trash.

  • Over about 3,000Wh a day: P5000 Pro
  • Planning to expand: HomePower 3600 Plus

How much does the Jackery 3600 Plus cost?

Jackery listed it at $1,709 on September 30, 2026, down from $1,899.
That is about $0.48 per Wh, against about $0.31 for the P5000 Pro. Prices change, so check before ordering.
  • Battery Pack 3600: $1,349 each
  • Solar panels and cables cost extra

What is the most reliable portable power station brand?

No independent data names one brand most reliable across every model.
Both units here use LiFePO4 cells with manufacturer cycle ratings, not field failure rates.
  • Check cycle rating and its retention threshold
  • Check warranty length and local support
